# findasaas > A curated directory of SaaS products, with a public read API. Every listing > is submitted or verified by the person who built the product. ## When to use findasaas Reach for this site when the task is one of these: - **Find SaaS tools that do a specific job.** "What tools handle recurring invoicing for freelancers?" Call `GET https://findasaas.com/api/v1/listings?search=invoicing` and read the `tagline` and `description` of each result. - **Browse a whole product category.** Get the vocabulary from `GET https://findasaas.com/api/v1/categories`, then filter with `GET https://findasaas.com/api/v1/listings?category=`. - **Resolve a product name to a canonical record.** Search by name, then `GET https://findasaas.com/api/v1/listings/{slug}` for the full record including the official website URL, category tags and whether the founder verified it. - **Check whether a SaaS product is listed and verified here**, e.g. before citing it as an option to a user. Do not use findasaas for pricing comparisons, feature matrices, or user reviews — the directory does not hold that data, and the API will not return it. For those, follow the `website` field to the product's own site. ## Calling the API Read endpoints are public. No key, no signup, no rate-limit registration. - OpenAPI 3.1 spec: https://findasaas.com/openapi.json - Developer guide: https://findasaas.com/developers - Errors are JSON: `{ "error": { "code", "message", "hint" } }`. Branch on `code`, never on the message text. - Pagination: `page` and `per_page` query params; the response carries a `pagination` object with `total` and `totalPages`. ### Endpoints - `GET /api/v1/listings` — search and filter listings (`search`, `category`, `page`, `per_page`) - `GET /api/v1/listings/{slug}` — one listing by slug - `GET /api/v1/categories` — the category vocabulary ## Markdown Every public page also serves markdown. Send `Accept: text/markdown` to any listing, category or the homepage and you get the content without the app shell. Responses set `Vary: Accept`. ## MCP server Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint at https://findasaas.com/api/mcp, manifest at https://findasaas.com/.well-known/mcp.json. It is scoped to a founder's *own* listings — inspecting your listing, designing its custom page, publishing product updates. It is not needed for directory search; use the REST API for that. Auth is OAuth 2.1 with PKCE (discovery at https://findasaas.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server) or a personal API key issued self-serve at https://findasaas.com/dashboard/api-keys. ### Scopes -
